The Process

At Synthenet, we pride ourselves on being problem-solvers.  We deliver solutions that address business issues and help clients’ execute and optimize their Web presence.  For that reason, we have developed a systematic and cost-effective process for creating your new web site or application that ensures we thoroughly identify and meet your company’s business and online needs.

Working with Synthenet, you have our commitment to:
  • Working with you as a team — making your web project a collaborative venture;
  • Providing you with complete project management from beginning to end;
  • Maintaining frequent, consistent contact with you;
  • Dedicating our passion for the work we do to your entire project; and
  • Developing ideas and strategies that will reap success for your business.
Our project management process encompasses every aspect of your web project, from our initial discussion on your objectives to the launch of your new web application.  The following are the key stages in our process:

Discovery – Planning and Concept Development
Every Synthenet client project begins with a meeting between our team and the client’s to gather information.  We use this meeting to delve into who you are — to learn about your business, your short and long-term goals, your customers, and the systems you currently have in place.  We ask questions and we listen, making sure we understand your needs, requirements, milestones and any issues.  With this information, we develop a web strategy that will meet your business goals, work with your environment and resolve those issues.  As a result of this process, we begin to create initial design concepts and plan the remaining stages in the process.

Design – Site Architecture Development
Based on what we learn about your audience, corporate message and any graphical standards already in place (such as a logo), design concepts are created and presented for your review.  The design concept you choose will become the site’s overall look and feel and affect the user experience.  For that reason, we make sure to gather as much knowledge as possible on your business as well as your taste and style regarding website designs, navigation elements, and other aspects we should take into consideration.

It is also during this stage that we develop the initial site map and you begin submitting content to be populated to the site.

Development – Production and Implementation
Your web site and database are built within Synthenet’s Online Management System, which utilizes an extremely user-friendly, browser-based interface and a built-in text editor similar to Microsoft Word.  The Online Management System includes several modules: the Content Module (for managing the site’s sections, pages, images, and documents), Form Module (for creating HTML forms), Messaging Module (for creating bulk communications), Blog Module (for creating and archiving blog posts), Events Module (for creating an events calendar) and Commerce Module (for enabling online shopping).   The web site map and content are populated directly through the browser interface.

For custom applications, we create storyboards and a database schema for your review and comment or approval.  Broken out into phases, the storyboards are revised and reviewed until they completely reflect the project goals.

Testing
When your web site or application is close to completion, we begin the process of testing it from the user’s perspective.  We test on different platforms and with various browsers, giving you access to our development environment to perform your own testing.  We do not move the site or application from the development environment to the production environment until all components are functioning as expected and we are confident the end-user will have the best possible experience.

Training
As the last stage of the development and implementation process, our team will provide an overview of the Online Management System to the people you designate as your “master administrators.”  This training will give them the knowledge to maximize and make updates to the site or application very quickly and easily.

Post-Implementation
Our business is about building relationships, therefore the process doesn’t end once your project is complete.  We provide hosting for all the web sites we develop, including your email.  As part of our managed support services, we also provide you with Google Analytics and ongoing technical support.

"Thank you for building such a robust system and infrastructure for Interview Mastery. Thanks also for your constant commitment to responsiveness and excellence. Last month (March) www.interviewmastery.com had 95,000 clickthroughs and almost 500 purchases. On March 20th and 27th over 10,000 clickthroughs hit the server and everything worked smoothly. It was like the server wasn't even breaking a sweat."
