Rich Internet Application Launches - Synthenet Corporation

According to the Adobe web site a Rich Internet Application (RIA) is an entirely new kind of web experience that is engaging, interactive, lightweight, and flexible, offering the ease of use of an intelligent desktop application. A RIA can dramatically enhance the user experience, increasing customer satisfaction and making the user experience more intuitive and productive.

Synthenet Corporation recently launched a new RIA called Create-A-Frame (http://www.diplomaframe.com/createaframe/index.cfm) for the Church Hill Classics web site using Adobe's Flex 2 development tool. Create-A-Frame allows the user to choose a frame style and then customize the frame by choosing a molding, inner and outer mat colors, insignias, and even a wall color to see what their finished frame will look like against a specific background.

Synthenet Corporation utilized Adobe's Flex 2 development tool to create the user interface and tie the information to the Diploma Frame database so that product pricing is also displayed in real time. Flex allows for a seamless experience by eliminating the traditional page refreshes required when using a non RIA environment during the configuration process.

The new Create-A-Frame only launched a few weeks ago but DiplomaFrame has already received positive input through their customer feedback form on the web site:
