Church Hill Classics is a leader in the design and manufacture of high quality diploma, certificate, and award frames. Their mission is to create truly distinctive frames to showcase and preserve treasured documents.Church Hill Classics' existing web site design did not align with the brand character of the business, nor establish the business as a leader in their category. In addition, the web site offered no web-based interface functions for retail buyers to place and track orders, which impaired Church Hill Classics' staff from streamlining administrative duties. Church Hill Classics approached Synthenet Corporation to develop a web site that would present a more consistent brand and position them as a leader in the design and manufacture of high quality frames. In addition, Synthenet was asked to develop the necessary web-based interface functions that would save Church Hill Classics' staff time managing buyer relationships and streamline their administrative duties. Another objective with the web site redesign was to increase direct sales to consumers by expanding the product line offerings on the web site and improving the shopping cart interface. They also requested a way to integrate online information with existing off-line order processing and shipping software to ensure smooth production. Synthenet Corporation developed Church Hill Classic’s web site using their Online Management System, utilizing Commerce, Content and Form / Survey Modules. In addition, Synthenet designed the web site so it offers a bold, newlook more indicative of the company’s leadership presence in the industry. Synthenet’s addition of an Affiliate Module and Buyer Module to the Online Management System provides Church Hill Classics' web site a powerful new tool necessary for them to expand sales and their business partnerships. Church Hill Classics can now create affiliate partnerships that allow them to sell through links to external sites, or sell directly on behalf of an affiliate and pay commission based on sales. The Buyer Module created by Synthenet now allows bookstore buyers to log into the site and place inventory or drop-ship orders, view order history, and track the status of each order. Synthenet also created a custom, on-line “Create-A-Frame” feature for individual users buying direct from the web site. The Create-A-Frame feature allows users to personally choose a frame style, inner and outer matting colors, moulding preference, and insignia to build the exact frame they desire. The Create-A-Frame function Synthenet developed previews exactly how the new frame will look and the Online Management System builds a product code that is used to produce the frame off-line. Church Hill Classics' new web site, just launched in August of 2004, has already produced substantial results in terms of business growth and increased time management. Online orders for the first three months alone rose over 100% from the same time period of 2003. The custom, “Create-A-Frame” feature designed for individual users buying direct from the web site played a major role in the increase in sales. Church Hill Classics has also taken steps to expand the Create-A-Frame concept by developing category specific versions, including military frames. The Commerce, Content and Form / Survey Modules designed for the new web site also had an immediate impact. Time spent on tedious administrative duties has been reduced freeing up more time for new business development. Synthenet has been a tremendous partner, establishing a leadership presence and a distinctive brand identity on the web. Synthenet's web program has given us incredible business management tools, while their creative and programming proficiency have allowed us to bring a "wish list" of new interactive business-building ideas to life. Thanks to Synthenet, web orders are up significantly, and our wholesale partners benefit from an unparalleled customer service, ordering and shipment tracking interface.
