The Situation – Improve Product Merchandising and Sales
Marble and Granite, Inc. is an importer and wholesale distributor of marble, granite, travertine and limestone. The company supplies both slabs and tiles to fabricators and distributors in New England and surrounding areas. Customers access the company’s Web site via login.
When Marble and Granite, Inc. approached Synthenet, it had a Web site that was ineffective and provided limited functionality. The company wanted a site that was more creative and would give them more options for merchandising and selling its products. The web site redevelopment involved transferring Marble and Granite, Inc.’s database from its old site to the new one, which Synthenet executed without any issues.
The Outcome – More Site Traffic, More Customers, More Sales
Marble and Granite, Inc. now has numerous more customers registering for online accounts and far more traffic to its Web site than it did with the earlier version. In one year since the new site went live, sales increased 30%. Customers are also more satisfied.
