FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Synthenet Corporation Takes Top International Creative Award

Synthenet Corporation is a bronze winner in the 2003 Summit Creative Awards® competition for its outstanding creative work for The Trustees of Reservations, Guest House at Field Farm.

“Using only a newly developed logo, inspiration from the Guest House’s late 40’s Bauhaus design and modern artwork that adorns the interiors, we created a look that was unique and effectively represented the bed and breakfast’s modern characteristics. Stylish colors, easy to read content and simple geometric shapes were the backbone of the design process. The new web site look and feel will be used as the cornerstone for future print and marketing materials.” said Scott Whipple, Designer for Synthenet Corporation.

Synthenet Corporation was founded in 1998 and is headquartered outside of Boston, Massachusetts. Since its inception, Synthenet has developed over 150 web-based projects.  In addition to The Trustees of Reservations, clients include: Spalding Sports Worldwide, Polaroid Corporation, Brooks Automation, PalmGear.com, ecookbooks.com and Working Advantage.

Michael Triff, Director of Communications & Marketing for The Trustees of Reservations stated that, "Synthenet succeeded in taking a new logo for this B&B and translated its modernist, boxy, and funky personality into an entire web design. The result is a strongly branded and visually rich web site that evokes the unique experience offered at the Guest House at Field Farm."

The Trustees of Reservations, a non-profit organization, has been conserving the best of the Massachusetts landscape since 1891, making them one of the nation's oldest conservation organizations. Funded entirely by their visitors, supporters, and more than 35,000 members, their 94 properties range from the Berkshire Mountains to the beaches of Cape Cod and the Islands, where they have worked to protect more than 48,000 acres of land across the state.

The Summit Creative Awards is the only competition of its kind. It was created in 1994 to recognize exceptional work by advertising agencies, video production companies, multimedia firms and other creative groups with annual billings of $15 million or less. It is the only opportunity such firms have to compete internationally.

This year's panel of judges included Ilan Geva of CMYK & Beyond, Luc Chenier of Bates Ukraine, Rick Penn-Kraus of Hill and Knowlton, Kevin Hersh of Mfx, Inc., Steve O’Brien of Ground Zero, Henry Rasmussen of Scanad - Denmark and Daren Levis of J. Walter Thompson USA. Entries in 17 creative categories were judged against a stringent set of standards. Judges looked for innovative and creative concepts, strong executions and the ability to communicate and persuade.

This year's competition received approximately 3,000 entries from 17 countries including Australia, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, England, Estonia, Germany, India, Isreal, Italy, New Zealand, Northern Ireland, Puerto Rico, Russia, Singapore, Ukraine and United States.
