Synthenet Corporation Announces the Launch of Brooks Automation’s New Web Site

NORTHBOROUGH, MA September 27, 2002 - Synthenet Corporation, a full service web development firm, completed the development of the Brooks Automation (www.Brooks.com) web site in their Content Management Environment. Brooks Automation Inc. (NASDAQ: BRKS) provides intelligent automation solutions that help semiconductor and other clean manufacturers increase productivity, lower operating costs, and improve return on investment for enhanced competitive advantage.

Synthenet worked with Brooks and their advertising agency to produce the company's dynamic new online look, backed by a site architecture powered by one comprehensive Content Management Solution. Through the new web site, Brooks provides product, service, support and training information. Via use of the content management tool, they are also able to grow and change the site's content, in-house. The staff at Brooks can also set up password protected areas through the Content Manager, on the front end of the site visitors will be required to enter a login and password to view the pages in that particular section.

A sophisticated security interface allows for assignment of unlimited roles, permissions and page privileges so that changes and additions to the site are made under a controlled environment. Various worldwide personnel - 50-65 individuals in different departments throughout Brooks, will be maintaining their section of the web site through the Content Manager.
